A delegation from the Bsharri Association in Canberra: A wreath of flowers at the Unknown Soldier Monument

In loyalty to the State of Australia, and in appreciation of the memory of its righteous martyrs, a large delegation of members of the Bsharri Association in Sydney, Australia, headed by its President, Mr. Pierre Sukkar, visited the capital, Canberra, on Sunday, for two days, in coordination with Ms. Widad Rahma, and the Association’s advisor, Sheikh Joe Arida. This visit was scheduled to witness a moment of honor in front of the Australian Memorial to the Unknown Soldier, where the Association’s President, Mr. Pierre Sukkar, accompanied by its advisor, Sheikh Joe Arida, laid a wreath of flowers in front of the monument, in remembrance, gratitude, and honor of the Australian soldiers who fought and died in various conflicts since World War I.

A touching scene of loyalty, in front of hundreds of attendees, which is a source of pride for all who have fought for this country.
Afterwards, the delegation headed to Mrs. Widad’s house, where a luncheon was held in honor of the association. The President also presented a souvenir gift on behalf of the association to Mrs. Widad Rahme, in appreciation of her services and contributions to the Lebanese community over the years, expressing his thanks and appreciation for her generous hospitality and warm welcome.
